Ilona Major

The historical gorgeous estate Ilona Major is situated in the West Hungarian Region near to the Austrian border between the two villages Hidegség and Nagycenk. The place received the name „Ilona” in memory of Countess Ilona Széchenyi. The name Széchenyi stands for a well-known aristocratic Hungarian Family. Ilona was the youngest daughter of Count Lőrinc Széchenyi and she was the first member of the family, who lived and settled down here in Nagycenk. This estate was a gift from the former archbishop to her and for her husband, Miklós Sankó. The horse-riding center venerates trough wearing the name Ilona to her remembrance.

Many other popular European destinations are quickly reachable over the well-developed road and railway network. The airport Vienna-Schwechat (VIE) offers perfect linkage also for international guests from all over the world.
